Misleading Advertising – Total Arts Management has failed to show that it performed the first interactive paranormal show in the UK.
The ASA published an adjudication against Total Arts Management (www.totalartsmanagement.info) on 21 December 2011. The Psychic & Science events page of the Total Arts Management website stated "The UK's FIRST EVER INTERACTIVE PARANORMAL STAGE SHOW".
The ASA was concerned that Total Arts Management was unable to demonstrate that it performed the first interactive paranormal show in the UK. The ASA concluded that the claim was inaccurate and misleading.
Although the ASA has adjudicated against Total Arts Management and has made several subsequent requests for an assurance of future compliance, Total Arts Management continues to feature problem claims on its website: www.psychicandscience.com. Because of Total Arts Management’s continued non-compliance we took the decision to place its details on this section of the ASA website. These details shall remain in place until such time as Total Arts Management has appropriately amended its website to ensure compliance with the ASA adjudication and the CAP Code.
